Boxer settles Dental Negligence Claim

Irish Boxing champion Ceire Smith has settled her dental negligence claim. She swallowed a sharp dental instrument during root canal treatment and sued her dentist and the HSE and included as part of her claim that her career as a boxer had been damaged. Liability was admitted which meant the case was before the court for an assessment of compensation only. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
