The Cork Foundation is delighted to announce its new partnership with Cork law firm- Fachtna O Driscoll Solicitors.
The partnership is the newest in a series of connections being made by the Cork Foundation in a bid to inspire leaders and high achievers in business, sport, philanthropy, law and all other disciplines to give back to Cork.
Cork has shown immense growth and potential in recent years which the Cork Foundation hope to harness and pump back into the City. The still relatively new organisation is currently working with many worthy charities, organisations and social enterprises which all have the underlying aim of improving life in Cork and creating sustainable jobs and growth.
The Cork Foundation recognises that much more than simply financial donations can make a major difference for these organisations and initiatives. This is a view shared by South Mall based- Fachtna O Driscoll Solicitors. The well-known Cork law firm along with the Cork Foundation understand the difficulties many non-profit and volunteer run organisations can face with the legalities of setting up a charity or social enterprise.
Fachtna O Driscoll solicitors are hopeful that their new partnership with the Cork Foundation can further their involvement in the community and their giving back to Cork by providing assistance and training in the areas of employment law and guidance on the Code of Governance for Cork charities and organisations in a bid to help them successfully make the major changes which they envision for Cork.
CEO of the Cork Foundation, Padraic Vallely who has been maintaining the foundations core values of “Cork people helping Cork people” since taking on the role earlier this year has commented that “the partnership with Fachtna O Driscoll Solicitors is another great connection to add to our growing list. Having a law firm of Fachtna O Driscoll’s calibre on board is an incredible opportunity and honour for us and the charities and organisations of Cork. With Fachtna O Driscoll solicitors lending their expertise and knowledge to many worthy non- profit organisations this is a partnership we can really see making a big difference in Cork”.
It is anticipated by both Fachtna O Driscoll Solicitors and the Cork Foundation that this partnership will inspire and encourage other professionals and businesses around Cork to reach out and offer expertise, training and help in any way possible.
